One of the great beer bars in South Carolina is Charleston’s Closed for Business. Only open since 2009, the craft bar has accomplished quite a bit in the last few years. For the second straight year, Draft Magazine has recognized the bastion of craft beer on King Street as one of America’s Top 100 Beer Bars.
C4B is the only bar in South Carolina to make the list. Draft Magazine had this to say about C4B: “Don’t let the name fool you: This artsy, screen print-lined Charleston spot’s open and pouring the best beer around. Classic and trendy pints abound, but stick to the bar’s perfectly themed flights like Tall, Dark and Handsome, featuring a thoughtful collection of black IPAs, stouts, porters, and schwarzbiers.”

Just want to correct the article about the top 100 beer bars named in the south by Draft Magazine this year: Oak Barrel Tavern of Avondale, which features beers brewed in house, was named along with Closed for Business. They were the only two* bars in SC to receive the recognition.
I appreciate that and you are correct. The article you are referring to, however, was written for last year’s listings (2013) (https://beerofsc.com/2013/01/14/closed-for-business-named-a-top-100-beer-bar/). Just to clarify, I did not write an article for the 2014 listing. However, you are correct for 2014. CFB and Oak Barrel made the list.
