You might have missed it over the weekend, but the annual Brewvival festival in Charleston has released its promotional poster. If you’ve been to this beer Christmas before, you’re familiar with the similar look of other years. The festival has done a great job of releasing information on one participating brewery each day during the week. And that will continue in the days and weeks ahead.

So, what does this poster tell us? Well, it tells us that there are some great breweries participating! And as always, there will be some surprise breweries that will show up unadvertised. We have a few ideas who these might be for this year, and let’s just say that you won’t want to miss it. The poster also confirms that nearly all active breweries in South Carolina are participating as of now: Coast, Holy City, New South, Palmetto, RJ Rockers, Thomas Creek, and Westbrook. We now also know that Columbia’s Conquest Brewing will be a participant! There is no dispute that the Columbia brewery has been a hit in making spot appearances in the midlands over the last week with its IPA and Blonde selling out everywhere. The only active SC brewery not currently on the list is River Dog Brewing in Ridgeland. Although, that could change. The brewery was just spotted last week in Greenville at the Biggest Little Beer Fest put on by Barley’s. Read more about that here: https://beerofsc.wordpress.com/2013/01/22/event-review-barleys-biggest-little-beer-fest/

While beer lists aren’t available for all of the SC breweries yet, here’s what has been announced so far:

Holy City: Bourbon Barrel Aged Pecan Dream, Chocolate Notorious P.I.G., and Manuel Fantastico Barleywine

New South: Dry Hopped Lager and Lily the Great Imperial Stout

RJ Rockers: Trainwreck IPA, Dry Hopped Trainwreck IPA (cask), and Star Spangled Stout w/ bourbon soaked oak chips (cask)

Thomas Creek: Chocolate Orange IPA, Up the Creek Extreme IPA w/ black cherries and pink peppercorns (cask), and Deep Water Dopplebock w/ Fig Newtons and ‘Nilla Wafers (cask)

You can read about all the other announced beers here: http://www.brewvival.com/beer

Still need tickets? You better not wait much longer. Most likely, this will sell out prior to the festival date. Go here and be happy: http://brewvival.com/tickets
