So, we all know that Brewvival, aka Beer Christmas is next weekend in Charleston. But, what else are you up to? Some other events are starting to take shape for you to enjoy while you’re down in the Holy City.
So far, there are a few events on the docket. Next Friday, from 4-8, Holy City Brewing will have a fish fry which will feature the usual tasting room beer samples, fish, hushpuppies, fries, mini burgers, and whatever else the folks from HoM Burger decide to do, bluegrass music, Sweeteeth chocolate, and a lot of fun. The brewery had this event last year as well, and it looks to be a success. More info can be found here: http://holycitybrewing.com/event/2013/02/brewvival-eve-fish-fry
Meanwhile, over in Mount Pleasant, the House of Brews will be be throwing a party from 5-10. There will be live music, a food truck, and some special beers from Allagash, Great Divide, and Stone.
Most likely, more events will be announced prior to next weekend. Again, Brewvival is sold out. If you’re looking for tickets, head to Facebook, Beer Advocate, Twitter, or Craigslist. You might be able to find a few floating around.
If you’re interested, there will be a beer breakfast on Sunday morning at 10am at the GrowFood Carolina building on Morrison Drive in downtown Charleston. Tickets are limited to 100 and go on sale at 9am this morning. More info here: http://www.charlestonbeerexchange.com/blog/
